polymer clay earrings

These polymer clay earrings were made in the spring of 2020. During quarantine in New York I really needed to find something that I could do with my hands to get myself off the computer and in a new headspace. I always love learning a new art medium and this is my first time working with polymer clay. I love the feel of the clay and the challenge of working so much smaller than I usually do! These pieces are in essence a continuation of my ocean inspired pottery and represent some of the places that mean the most to me. Just like pottery these pieces have become a type of meditation for me.
